It has been a busy and successful awards season for Consortium – more than marketing!
Best Business Woman Awards 2022
You may remember in July we announced that Lara was a finalist at this year’s Best Business Woman Awards in the categories Best Boss and Marketing and PR. The finals took place on the 30th of September at the Hilton Wembley in London. It was a fabulous and glamorous night that celebrated the success of women across the country across various sectors.
We are delighted and proud that Lara won the Best Boss award and took home a silver in the Marketing and PR category. We have always known that Lara was one of the best people to work for, but now everyone else does too!
The judges had this to say about Lara’s win: “Lara is a great example of a great boss. Clearly, she is passionate about staff development, flexible working, and the nominations from her staff demonstrated how she has gone above and beyond for her team in so many ways.”
Debbie Gilbert, the organiser of The Best Business Woman Awards, said, ‘Owning a business brings incredible challenges. Our awards are designed to showcase female entrepreneurs and recognise their achievements. The judge’s selection process is rigorous and to win is a major achievement. Winners were selected for their business expertise, innovation, and high levels of customer care. Our winners are shining examples of outstanding entrepreneurs who have proved their success to our judges and have shown they have the ingredients worthy of being recognised and rewarded.”
Flexa Industry Awards
Lara’s success as Best Boss is backed up by the Flexa® Industry awards. Consortium was featured this year as one of the most flexible agencies in the UK. Being recognised as a flexible workplace is an intensive process. Flexa® investigates each business to verify how flexible a workplace they really are. First, Lara was quizzed on working hours, locations, benefits and more. This information is compared to data Flexa® has collected over the course of verifying all the businesses listed in its directory. Then, Flexa® asked Consortium’s employees about their perception of their work environment, to see if the claims were true.
All the data Flexa® collects gets split into two scores – company and employee. They are at-a-glance reflections of the company’s commitment to a better way of working. Consortium’s place in the industry awards was decided by averages in our category.
“Consortium – more than marketing was super flexible throughout their accreditation and gave us access to all of their employees for the anonymous survey, which just shows the confidence in what their internal working environment is like. We’re not surprised that they had such good results across their benchmarking, confirming that this is truly a great place to work.” – Flexa® Careers.
Consortium’s verification is proof that we have created a working environment that supports us and allows us to grow. Receiving a special mention is a celebration of our ongoing commitment to ensuring our team has a great work-life balance. We consider our flexibility one of our greatest assets and the driving force behind the business. Lara had this to say about these achievements:
“I set up Consortium to give working parents somewhere they can have a technical and challenging role but have true flexibility. Having recently been recognised by Flexa® as a top 10 micro employer nationally for flexibility, and now having the Best Boss Award, really is the icing on the cake for me. It is one I’ve wanted for a while, and helpfully we are about to start recruiting so hopefully it will add to our attraction. It was also wonderful to get recognition as a businesswoman in marketing and PR.”
All of this goes to show that Consortium really is one of the best places to work. If you want to work in a truly flexible working environment with the best boss in the UK, we have an opportunity for you to do so. Check out our vacancies page for more details including how to apply.
