Launching a new brand for a local accounting firm

The Opportunity

Company founder, Paige Collins, needed help to create a new brand and launch a new accounting practice in Sussex. Having worked with Consortium more than marketing for several years in her previous role, Paige approached Lara to help develop her new company brand, which included:

  • Brand messaging
  • Company website design
  • Market launch and a launch event
  • Ongoing outsourced marketing support

Humble beginnings

Warren House Accountants established their accountancy practice in 2021 in Mid-Sussex. Having spent more than 3 decades at a major Sussex-based accounting firm, founder Paige Collins wanted to set up her own practice that would offer something different through a distinct business culture. She wanted to establish a firm with an ethos that centres around putting people first, and that would focus on delivering services in a more personal way than most accountants have historically done.

Paige set about building a team of forward-thinking financial advisers, with a strong focus on adding the human touch to their accountancy services.

Individuals and small to medium businesses across the Southeast and the UK have since come to rely on WHA’s 30+ collective years of experience in the accountancy and financial services sectors. WHA manage everything from corporate and personal tax planning, business planning and profit extraction, annual accounts compliance, trust tax, payroll services, and more.

Building partnerships with clients

Warren House Accountants are financial engineers. They use and analyse data to address current financial and business problems. But they go beyond just the numbers. Their focus is to partner with clients to provide and deliver financial and business advice and solutions. Paige is a firm believer that “you can’t change the past but that you can influence the future.” Paige and the team live this philosophy by listening, engaging, empathising, and understanding what is going on within their client’s businesses, to see how they can help them plan.

The Solution

Cohesive design, brand, and messaging to differentiate WHA in the market

Consortium more than marketing provided strategic direction in terms of naming the company and branding the business as an accounting and advisory expert with a difference. Together with Paige, Consortium identified a name that aligned with the founder personally and then worked with the designers and web developers to create a look and feel that was incorporated into everything from the logo, website, collateral, signage and more, to deliver an impactful messaging that effectively communicated company expertise and key differentiators.

Consortium’s director Lara Squires worked directly with Paige to determine several name options, managed the design of the company logo, refined the messaging framework, delivered content to populate the website and various marketing materials, managed the design and delivery of the website, and launched the business to the market at a virtual wine tasting event at a local vineyard.

Since its launch, Consortium has managed the day-to-day marketing activities for WHA, and together with Paige and the team, has helped to raise the brand profile in the local community, establish regular marketing and communications with clients, build its social media presence and establish and promote both Paige and the wider team as expert advisors for SMEs across the county and beyond.

WHA has continued to engage with Consortium following its initial company launch. Consortium has become a part of the WHA team and is now looking to develop a marketing strategy to take the business to the next phase of its growth.

The Results

Successful business launch and continued company growth

Consortium provided the strategic guidance from a marketing perspective that helped position WHA as trusted accounting experts and advisors for SMEs across Susses and the UK.

Paige Collins, founder of Warren House Accountants said, “I have very much enjoyed working with Consortium more than marketing, both currently and in my previous role as the managing partner for a large accounting firm based in East Sussex and London. Marketing is part of the process, but you can’t just do marketing by itself. It needs to be part of a targeted and streamlined approach to what we want to try and do and achieve. And Consortium has helped facilitate that unity. Working with Consortium and the team has been fantastic to have direction and a working framework for us all to work with and to help us engage with the wider business community we’re in.”
